Khmer Boxers Win Two More Gold for Cambodia

PHNOM PENH: Kun Khmer boxer Khuon Langkosin won a gold medal in the 57 kg weight category by defeating Filipino Kristian Salatan Narca in the final on the afternoon of May 11 at the Morodok Techo National Stadium. Meanwhile Cambodian Chut Van Thong won a gold medal in the 60 kg weight category by defeating his Lao opponent Attaxay Shiabout.

Today’s Kun Khmer competition saw 9 pairs of boxers competing. Nine Cambodian boxers entered the competition against athletes from the Philippines, Vietnam and Laos.

Khmer boxer Mei Sung won the silver after losing to Vietnamese boxer Trieu Thi Phuong Thuy, who took home the gold in the 51 kg category.
